BOSTON, USA: US officials have arrested two Indian nationals, Simranjit Singh (28) and Gusimrat Singh (19), with drugs valued at USD 10 million, according to the Department of Justice. Both individuals from Fresno, California, face charges of conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances. They appeared before a federal court in Boston on July 29 and remain in federal custody.

The arrests occurred after local police discovered over 400 kilograms of suspected cocaine in the cab of their tractor trailer, worth more than USD 10.5 million. Acting United States Attorney Joshua S. Levy expressed concern over the substantial amount of drugs seized, highlighting the dangerous nature of such quantities. He noted that the suspects allegedly undertook a cross-country trip to distribute illegal narcotics in Massachusetts.

On July 29, at 10:15 pm, a white tractor trailer arrived at a agreed address in Andover to deliver methamphetamine to undercover agents. The driver and passenger, identified as Gusimrat Singh and Simranjit Singh, handed off 65 pounds of suspected methamphetamine to the agents before being immediately taken into custody.
