US President’s Aide in Middle East Amid Concern Over Violence in West Bank

WASHINGTON:  White House said on Thursday that US President Joe Biden’s key advisor on Middle East is in the region to hold meetings with Jordan, Egypt, UAE and Oman. According to Reuters, Brett McGurk is visiting the region as part of a multiple-agency visit to Middle East, as the United States has expressed concern over increase in wave of violence in the west bank.

Reports said that at least 11 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured by Israeli troops in the west bank. Many countries, including Pakistan and Saudi Arabia strongly condemned the recent raid by Israeli forces in the west bank.

According to health officials, Israeli troops had killed 11 Palestinians, including a sixteen years old boy, during the raid in Nablus.

Meanwhile, the UN Secretary General also called for an end to Israeli settlements in the occupied land of Palestine.
