US Reports Over 18,000 Deaths From Flu This Season

LOS ANGELES: Flu has caused at least 18,000 deaths in the US in the current season, according to the latest data released by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Friday.

According to the estimates of the CTD, more than 25 million illnesses and 280,000 hospitalizations from flu this season in the country have been reported so far.

According to the center, nine influenza-associated pediatric deaths were reported in the last week, while a total of 106 pediatric flu deaths have been reported so far this season.
