RIYADH: Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA) chairman of the board of directors Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al Al-Sheikh has announced that the clash between boxing’s undisputed world heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk, and British champion Tyson Fury will be held in December as part of the Riyadh 2024 Season, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The chairman expressed his delight at hosting the second fight between heavyweight champions saying the clash is a testament to the grandeur and importance of the event.

The sports event is not just a fight but an opportunity for both the boxers to write a new chapter in the history of boxing, presenting what everyone is eagerly waiting to see.

The appetite for the international competitions grew after witnessing the Ring of Fire fight on May 18, a historic match that brought together the Ukrainian Usyk and the British Fury in Riyadh.

Usyk’s victory after 12 rounds by split decision made him the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion title and the four WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBF titles. The event also set a new standard in boxing, paving the way for more exciting competitions.
