TASHKENT: Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is visiting Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana, today to participate in the Council of Heads of State meeting for the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
The meeting will focus on advancing multilateral cooperation in trade, investment, transportation, communication, the environment, culture, and humanitarian areas.
The summit’s agenda also encompasses discussions on international politics and regional collaboration.
The 10th OTS Summit, scheduled for November 3, 2023, marks the transition of leadership from Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan and will involve the signing of the Astana Act, the Astana Summit Declaration, and several resolutions.
