Uzbek, Russian FMs Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

TASHKENT: Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov has held a telephone conversation with Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov and discussed bilateral cooperation.

According to the local media reports on Friday the two leaders talked about the nitty-gritty of Russia-Uzbekistan interaction, including at regional and international levels, as well as the agenda of upcoming bilateral events.

Furthermore, they also reviewed agreements made after Russian President Vladimir Putin’s state visit to Uzbekistan in May of this year.

The two sides also reaffirmed their commitment to promote diplomatic efforts to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Tashkent and Moscow, including joint work at the United Nations and various multilateral integration platforms.
