Uzbekistan President Arrives in New York to Attend UNGA Session

TASHKENT: President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan has embarked on an official visit to New York, where he will participate in the proceedings of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly. This significant visit underscores Uzbekistan’s commitment to global cooperation and engagement on pressing international issues.

Upon his arrival at the airport in New York, President Mirziyoyev received a warm welcome from various dignitaries, including New York Mayor Eric Adams and Carolyn Lamm, the Chairman of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce (AUCC), along with other officials.

Uzbekistan President to Present Report at UNGA Session

As part of his scheduled activities, President Mirziyoyev is set to present a comprehensive report during the general debate of the plenary session of the United Nations General Assembly on September 19. During this address, he will present Uzbekistan’s perspective on critical regional and global matters, reaffirming the country’s commitment to contributing to international dialogue and cooperation.
