TASHKENT: Uzbekistan has extended a helping hand to Kyrgyzstan by dispatching 1,000 gas cylinders as humanitarian aid, addressing the situation at the Bishkek combined heat and power plant (CHP), according to the press service of the Presidential Administration.
Transported via 9 ISUZU trucks, the cylinders have reached Jalal-Abad through the Bek-Abad road checkpoint.
The unloading process is underway at the warehouse of the Jalal-Abad HPP, a branch of the National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan JSC. Afterward, the aid will be transported to Bishkek. Deputy Director of the Jalal-Abad HPP for Capital Construction, Damir Toktogulov, is overseeing the cargo reception.
Due to the hazardous nature of gas as an explosive substance, law enforcement officers are actively involved in the aid reception process, ensuring safe delivery to the designated destination. This humanitarian assistance from Uzbekistan aims to alleviate the challenges posed by the situation at the Bishkek CHP.
