ISLAMABAD: Ray Yu, the vice CEO of Huawei Pakistan, met with Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, the federal minister for science and technology, in Islamabad on Wednesday to talk about the status of the agreements reached during the prime minister’s visit to China.
During the meeting, Dr. Siddiqui emphasized the crucial role that Pakistan’s youth can play in the development of the IT sector. He highlighted that while 25,000 IT graduates emerge from Pakistani universities annually, only 5,000 secure jobs. To address this gap, he underscored the necessity of equipping young graduates with training in modern technology.
The Minister also stressed the vast opportunities for cooperation between Pakistan and China in the private sector, which need to be leveraged to enhance the partnership between the two countries.
