ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) police have warned that violent activities (in the city) would be dealt with an iron fist.
In a tweet, the ICT police said that maintaining peace in Islamabad was its primary responsibility.
It has urged citizens to report any suspicious activity to the police on helpline 15.

While referring to an ongoing protest of clerical associations in the city, the Islamabad police said that no protest was allowed in the red zone, and neither would any protester coming from outside would be allowed to enter the red zone.
It said that protest was the right of every citizen but no one would be allowed to block the roads.
The statement comes after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf changed the schedule of its ongoing long march for the third time, announcing that the party would continue with its march on Islamabad on Thursday from Wazirabad, where it had been halted after an assassination attempt on party chief Imran Khan, who sustained a bullet injury.
The change of schedule regarding the PTI’s long march came a day after Imran announced that the PTI will be returning to the streets on Tuesday to resume its long march.
The PTI chief will join the the party’s “Haqiqi Azadi March” again in Rawalpindi before it makes a foray on Islamabad.
Imran Khan has been demanding early elections since when he his government was thrown out through a vote of no-confidence in April.
