WAMY Praises Saudi Arabia’s Medical Efforts on World Patient Safety Day

RIYADH: The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) has commended the significant contributions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the medical sector in recognition of World Patient Safety Day, celebrated annually on September 17, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.

The assembly highlighted Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting and enhancing its healthcare sector, developing medical facilities, and upgrading healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of optimal patient care.

WAMY said that this focus on patient safety and healthcare development is a core component of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. The Vision aims to restructure the healthcare system to prioritize individual and societal requirements, disease prevention, fostering public health, and improved access to quality healthcare services. These measures also aim to enhance the efficiency and quality of services provided, as well as raise patient satisfaction.

The assembly also drew attention to Saudi Arabia’s ongoing global health initiatives, which include convoys and medical programs organized by charitable institutions. These efforts encompass the establishment of clinics, centers, and hospitals in remote areas across the world, showing the Kingdom’s humanitarian commitment to improving global health outcomes.
