War on Gaza: 80 Bodies Discovered in al-Shifa Hospital Mass Graves

GAZA:  Gaza Health Ministry has said that around bodies of eighty Palestinians have been discovered in three mass graves at al-Shifa Hospital, Arab media reported on Saturday.

According to Arab media, the new discovery bringing the total number of bodies uncovered in such graves in different sites across the Gaza Strip after the withdrawal of Israeli troops to 520, the Health Ministry in the besieged and bombarded Gaza said.

The Ministry said in a statement that there is “hard evidence” that many victims were “executed” at point-blank range, with bullet injuries found in their chests and heads.

Earlier, Palestinian officials stated they had discovered a new mass grave at al-Shifa Hospital in the area, which was sieged by Israeli troops in March, marking the 7th such grave found across Gaza since the start of Israel’s war.

The new development takes place as Health Ministry has said that more than 34,971 people have been killed in Gaza during the war between Hamas and Israel. The Ministry said that the tally included around twenty-eight deaths in the last 24 hours.

It further added that more than 78,641 people including women and children have been injured in the Gaza Strip since October 7.

On the other hand, in a major development Israel ordered new evacuations in Gaza’s city of Rafah today as it prepared to expand its offensive, adding it was also moving into an area in northern Gaza.

According to AP, the fighting is escalating across Gaza with heavy clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinian groups on the outskirts of Rafah, leaving the crucial adjacent aid crossings inaccessible and forcing over 110,000 people to flee north of Rafaha city.
