According to the WSJ, the proposed delivery is still being reviewed by the Biden’s administration. The WSJ cited a US official as saying the details of the proposal could change before the Biden’s administration notifies congressional committee leaders who would need to approve the transfer of weapons.

The Biden administration has faced strong criticism for continuing to supply weapons to Israel as accusations pile up that US-made weapons have been used in attacks that have killed civilian Palestinians.

Israel’s offensive has devastated much of the Gaza Strip, killing around 28,775 people, also mostly civilians, Palestinian health authorities said. The war in Gaza also forced nearly all of its more than 2 million populations from their homes.
