FLORIDA: Pakistan’s hope of advancing to the T20 World Cup Super-8 stage appear to be hampered by unfavorable weather conditions in Florida. Florida will host the remaining three matches of Group A.

The National Weather Service has predicted thunderstorms throughout the week, causing concern for the Pakistan cricket team, which is struggling to secure a spot in the Super 8.

In Group A, India has already secured a spot for the next stage of the tournament, leaving only one spot available for either Pakistan or the USA to grab.

The upcoming T20 World Cup match between the United States and Ireland holds immense significance, not only for the USA but also for Pakistan.

However, the rain forecast has worried Pakistan, which will play their final group match against Ireland’s team on Sunday, June 16, at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium.

Pakistan’s chances of progressing to the Super 8s hinge on the outcome of the USA vs Ireland match to be played on Friday (tomorrow).

If the clash between the USA and Ireland results in a washout, both teams will share a point each. Following the spread of points, the USA will continue to remain in the second spot with five points. In such a situation, Pakistan’s journey in the World Cup will come to an end irrespective of the result of their last match in the group as the draw will guarantee their place in the Super 8s.

However, if the USA loses and Pakistan defeats Ireland in their final match, Babar Azam’s team, currently third on the points table with just two points, will secure a spot in the Super 8s.

But, if the USA loses and the clash between Pakistan and Ireland results in a washout due to rain, Pakistan will earn just one point, in that case, the USA will make it into the Super 8s.

Therefore, if the USA vs Ireland match is affected by rain, the USA will make history by qualifying for the Super 8s.
