NEW YORK: Meta’s WhatsApp is set to launch a new feature on iOS, enabling users to seamlessly forward messages and media within channels, following its recent debut for Android users.

The upcoming update, identified as “WhatsApp for iOS 24.13.79,” aims to streamline the sharing process on the social media platform, enhancing user convenience and efficiency.

According to reports from WABetaInfo, a prominent source for WhatsApp updates, the instant messaging app is currently testing this feature publicly. It allows channel owners to effortlessly forward messages, photos, videos, and GIFs from any channel directly to their own. Users can access this functionality by selecting their designated channel from the forwarding picker screen when transferring content from another channel.

This new feature is designed to simplify the dissemination of information across multiple channels, eliminating intermediate steps and enhancing overall workflow efficiency for users managing various content streams.

WhatsApp continues to prioritize user experience enhancements, with ongoing efforts to refine features based on extensive user feedback and beta testing results. By continuously updating its platform, WhatsApp aims to maintain its reputation for user-friendly functionality and responsiveness to user needs.

While the rollout of this feature will be phased, WhatsApp advises users to regularly update the app from either the App Store or the TestFlight app to ensure access to the latest features and improvements.
