DUBAI: Meta-owned WhatsApp is developing a new chat memory feature for Meta AI, set to be introduced in a future update.
The feature is designed to enhance user interactions by enabling Meta AI to remember specific details shared during conversations for future reference.
Currently, this feature is still in development and is not yet available for beta testers. According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp plans to implement this improvement in the iOS app, aiming for a consistent experience across both platforms.
The latest WhatsApp beta for iOS (version 24.22.10.78) is available through the TestFlight app, hinting at this new functionality.
The chat memory feature represents a significant step toward personalizing interactions with Meta AI. The chatbot will be able to retain information such as dietary preferences, allergies, communication style, and personal interests like favourite books or podcasts. This capability will allow Meta AI to provide more relevant and tailored responses.
