ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s former Prime Minister and leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) has exercised his democratic right in the NA-128 constituency, local media reported on Thursday.

Talking to media, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif has asked people to get out and exercise their right to vote, specifically for his political party, local media reported on Thursday.
He added that PML-N will combat the culture of “abuse” and “indecency”, adding that the party will also combat inflation and work for the people.
Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif cast his vote at polling station number 82 in Lahore’s NA-127 constituency, local media reported on Thursday. Talking to media persons, he urged the people to cast their votes for the country’s prosperity and progress.
Elections 2024
Polling started at 8:00 a.m. local time and will continue uninterrupted till 5:00 p.m. in the evening. The PML-N, PPP, MQM-P, JUI-F, PML-Q, TLP, JI, ANP and other regional and religious parties are vying for their share of the political pie with the beleaguered PTI fielding its candidates as independents. The Free and Fair Elections Network (FAFEN) reports that as many as 111 political parties have nominated 275 female candidates for the upcoming general elections, representing 4.6 percent of the total of 6,037 candidates.
Over 17,000 Candidates are contesting in today’s election in Pakistan. With 56 million of the voters below the age of 35, and roughly 29 million in the 36-45 bracket, Pakistan’s younger generations are in a position to heavily influence the results in the country’s key election.
