WASHINGTON: Five more pages of classified documents have been found at Biden’s family home in Delaware, the White House said Saturday in a fresh twist in a politically sensitive affair for the US President.

White House lawyer Richard Sauber said in a statement that additional classified pages were found after he (Sauber) visited the house Thursday. Richard Sauber said that he visited the home to oversee the transfer to the Justice Department of a first batch of classified documents found on Wednesday.
Presidential attorneys searching the garage at Biden’s home found the additional document marked classified in the garage. Sauber said that all the lawyers lacked the necessary security clearance to read the documents, they notified the Justice Department.
As per 1978 law US presidents and vice presidents will hand over their letters, emails, and other official documents to the National Archives.
Others classified documents had been found earlier at Joe Biden’s former office at a Washington-based think tank.
Amid rising uproar over the findings in Washington, US Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed an independent prosecutor to probe into Biden’s handling of classified documents.

The matter is an unwelcome disruption for Joe Biden as he prepares to announce whether he will seek a 2nd term.

The first cache of Joe Biden documents was discovered in November, a week before last year’s midterm polls but only admitted by the White House on Monday, triggering allegations from Republicans that it was kept secret for political reasons.
