WASHINGTON: Hollywood actress Kate Winslet recently opened up about her experiences with fame in the aftermath of the blockbuster film ‘Titanic’s immense success.
Winslet found celebrity to be upsetting despite the film’s enormous success, citing pressure to uphold a particular image and media intrusion.
After “Titanic,” she intentionally chose to work on smaller films in order to avoid attention. Winslet acknowledged the happiness the movie gives viewers, but she also underlined the difficulties that come with being famous, especially the intrusive attention it attracts.
Winslet performed with Leonardo DiCaprio in the 1997 film Titanic, which went on to win multiple Academy Awards. Even though it was the highest-grossing movie until 2009, Winslet struggled to deal with the fallout from its popularity.
