Women Leaders of Central Asian Parliaments to Attend Meeting in Bishkek on Thursday

BISHKEK: A high level meeting of the Dialogue of Women of Central Asia will be held in Bishkek on Thursday on “Role of women in innovation and technology development”, local media reported on Wednesday.

The meeting will host delegations from the parliaments of Central Asian countries, led by prominent figures such as Tanzila Narbaeva, Chairperson of the Senate of Uzbekistan, Dania Espaeva, Deputy Chairperson of the Lower House of Kazakhstan’s Parliament, and Bahar Seyidova, Chair of the Parliament’s Committee on Science, Education, Culture, and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan.

The Tajikistan delegation, represented by Firuza Nurullozoda, First Deputy Chair of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the government, will participate in the meeting via video link.

Plenary sessions will discuss the topics such as the green economy, digital economy, and innovations. The event is expected to draw participation from the diplomatic circle, Kyrgyzstan’s government bodies, and representatives of international organizations.
