LAHORE: Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Saturday said the world is acknowledging Pakistan’s viable economic policies and the country’s economic indicators are moving in the right direction.
Addressing a news conference in Lahore, Minister Tarar said according to Bloomberg, Pakistan’s economy is taking off and its stock market is performing exceptionally well.
The Minister said during the recent visit of the Malaysian Prime Minister to Pakistan, it was agreed that Pakistan would export halal meat worth 200 million dollars and one hundred thousand tons of rice to Malaysia.
The Information Minister said that country’s exports had increased by 14 percent while the FBR digitalization was done without spending a single penny.
Attaullah Tarar said the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines and other state-owned enterprises is underway.
The Information Minister said that the economic vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is being implemented and now the world is terming Pakistan as an emerging economy.
