World Bank Approves $1.25 Billion Loans for Philippines

MANILA: The World Bank announced on Saturday that its executive directors have approved $1.25 billion in financing to support the education and public infrastructure sectors in the Philippines.

According to a statement from the World Bank, $500 million will be allocated to a project aimed at repairing schools damaged by disasters in various provinces.

These funds will also enhance the resilience of these schools, ensuring their continued operation even in the aftermath of natural calamities.

Furthermore, the World Bank approved a $750 million loan to bolster reforms focused on expanding investment in public service infrastructure and advancing renewable energy initiatives.”
