World Calls for Investigation into Attack on Palestinians Waiting for Aid

GAZA: World leaders and international bodies have called for probe into the deadly attack by Israeli forces on innocent Palestinians waiting for a humanitarian aid delivery in Gaza, western media reported on Saturday.

They made the demand as dozens of desperate Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces near an aid convoy. At least 112 Palestinians were and more than 760 injured when Israeli forces attacked people seeking food help on Thursday.

Health Ministry in Gaza called it a “massacre”, and stated that 115 people were killed and more than 750 injured in the Israeli brutal attack.

World Calls for Investigation into Attack on Palestinians Waiting for Aid

The European Commission chief said that every effort should be made to probe into what occurred and ensure transparency.

The United Nations has also called for a “prompt … neutral and effective probe” into the killing of Palestinians when Israeli troops attacked people seeking food help on Thursday.

The UN office said in a statement that effective probs are urgent and must, to ensure accountability for any violations.

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron has called for an immediate truce in the Gaza Strip and said the current situation in strip is “terrible”, local media reported on Friday. In a statement, French Foreign Minister Stephane Sejourne said that France wants an independent probe into the deaths of scores of Palestinian civilians during an aid delivery in Gaza. The top diplomat of France said that they will ask for explanations, and there will have to be an independent investigation to determine what occurred. The Minister further said that Paris would not apply “double standards” to the conflict. Sejourne further said the thought of people dying of hunger in the Gaza Strip was “unbearable” for them.
