ISLAMABAD: The National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) held an event at Islamabad College for Girls, F-6/2, to promote peace on World Post Day by encouraging students to submit policy recommendations. The central theme of the activity was to engage young minds in the process of advocating for peace through active participation.
During the event, Saleha Zakir Shah, Director General of Communication & Outreach at NACTA, emphasized the vital role of peace in society. She underscored that every citizen is a stakeholder in fostering sustainable peace in the country and should be equipped to voice their concerns and propose policy recommendations to relevant authorities.
Principal Aliya Durani highlighted the significant impact students can have on a nation’s development and their potential to shape its future. She noted that NACTA values the policy input from all stakeholders, particularly students.
Senior Analyst Zooni Ashfaq also addressed the students, providing insights into NACTA’s vision and mission.
As part of the initiative, students were able to submit their letters to the National Coordinator through a dedicated booth set up by Pakistan Post. This effort reflects NACTA’s ongoing commitment to fostering a culture of peace and dialogue in Pakistan, striving to create a safer and more secure nation.

The event concluded with the Director General distributing certificates to the participants and presenting an honorary shield to Principal Aliya Durani in recognition of her support.
