World’s First Pilotless AI-powered Plane Made Possible

ORLANDO: Aerospace leader Embraer has announced an ambitious concept for the world’s first Artificial Intelligence powered passenger plane, which would operate without a human pilot, local media reported.

The concept was introduced at the National Business Aviation Association event in Orlando, Florida, this futuristic plane aims to provide a complete autonomous flying experience, showcasing the potential of Artificial Intelligence in the aviation field.

The new design includes a cabin divided into 3 distinct zones, featuring a forward lounge and an option for passengers to sit in the floor if they select.

Embraer claimed in a statement that sustainability is at the core of this whole concept while highlighting its green technology propulsion system, which could be based on sustainable aviation fuel, hydrogen power or electrification.

However, the firm has not pledged to produce this AI-powered jet, the concept aims to inspire the entire aviation industry to push the limits of future possibilities. The firm also said that they have only tabled the idea and did not start any work over the matter.

Other aerospace companies are also exploring similar innovations, and many industry analysts believe this technology could usher in a new dawn of aviation.
