Xi Extends Condolences to President Alvi Over Suicide Bomb Attack

BEIJING: In response to the deadly suicide bombing that targeted a gathering in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Chinese President Xi Jinping has sent a condolence message to President Arif Alvi.

In his message, Xi expressed his shock at learning of the suicide bombing that claimed many lives. Xi showed great sorrow for the deceased and sincere condolences to the grieving families and the injured on behalf of the Chinese government and people. Xi emphasized that China opposes terrorism in all its manifestations and firmly denounces the act.

In addition, he promised that China would continue to strongly help Pakistan in advancing its national anti-terrorism action plan and work with Pakistan to protect global peace and security. Premier Li Qiang of China also sent his condolences for the attack to Shahbaz Sharif, the prime minister of Pakistan, on the same day.
