LOS GATOS, United States: Fans of Netflix’s hit psychological thriller You are counting down the days until the release of the highly-anticipated fifth and final season, set to premiere on 24 April 2025.
According to Netflix’s official synopsis, “Joe Goldberg returns to New York to enjoy his happily ever after… until his perfect life is threatened by the ghosts of his past and his own dark desires.”
Penn Badgley returns as the charismatic yet unsettling Joe Goldberg, as the show promises a “killer goodbye” to this chilling saga.
The final season, announced by Netflix in 2023, will see Joe back in New York City, striving to live a picture-perfect life with Kate (Charlotte Ritchie). However, as always, Joe’s past refuses to stay buried for long.
The new season will have 10 episodes, bringing the series to a total of 50. This marks the first season without Sera Gamble, the original showrunner.
Netflix has dropped several teasers and trailers for Season 5. The latest trailer showcases Joe navigating fame in New York, with his dark past looming over him.
A mysterious new character, Bronte (played by The Handmaid’s Tale star Madeline Brewer), adds to the chaos.
Caught between the possibility of redemption and the pull of relapse, it seems Joe’s secrets may finally be exposed.
Joining the cast are Griffin Matthews as Kate’s brother, Teddy Lockwood, and Anna Camp in a dual role as Kate’s twin sisters.
Tati Gabrielle is also likely to return as Marienne Bellamy, along with several fresh faces.
With the tagline “A Killer Goodbye,” the final season is set to deliver a gripping conclusion to Joe Goldberg’s twisted journey.
