Youth Day: OIC Chief Highlights Efforts of Member Nations in Supporting Resilience Among Youth

JEDDAH: The chief of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Hissein Brahim Taha has lauded the efforts of member counties in supporting resilience among youth, the OIC statement said on Saturday.

He made the remarks as the globe celebrates the International Youth Day to mobilize and encourage political will on matters related to youth, and value the abilities of youth to address the challenges they confront.

The Secretary-General of the OIC extended his felicitations to the young people across the world, especially in the OIC Member nations. He also lauded the efforts made by the OIC nations to enhance the adaptation and resilience of youth across the Muslim world. He noted that youth can be a force for progress if they are provided opportunities.

He indicated that with the aim of increasing the level of representation on young people and sports matters in the OIC system, the Islamic Conference of Youth and Sports Ministers was organized by Saudi Arabia in September 2022.

The OIC chief called for solid efforts to execute the resolutions issued by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to empower youth.
