ISLAMABAD: WhatsApp users can soon say goodbye to the annoyance of typing long messages as the instant messaging service is working on a new ‘audio chat’ feature for Android, according to a report by WABetainfo.

With this new feature, users will be able to chat using their voice, eliminating the need to type messages. The new option, ‘Open Audio Chat,’ will be added to the chat header, as per the screenshot shared by WABetainfo. Users will be able to end the conversation by tapping the telephone icon in the red circle located at the top right corner.

New feature to allow WhatsApp users to chat in real-time

It is worth noting that WhatsApp already has the option to record and send audio messages, but this new feature will allow users to chat in real-time using their voice.

The new feature is expected to make communication easier and quicker for WhatsApp users who find typing long messages to be annoying. While there is no official announcement yet, the ‘audio chat’ feature is expected to be rolled out soon.
