IRSA Releases 324,000 Cusecs Water

ISLAMABAD: With a 390,800-cusec influx on Tuesday, the Indus River System Authority (IRSA) released 324,000 cusecs of water from several rim stations.

According to information provided by IRSA, the River Indus at Tarbela Dam had a water level of 1515.67 feet, 117.67 feet higher than its dead level of 1,398 feet. The dam’s water intake and output were measured at 193,900 cusecs and 170,000 cusecs, respectively.

River Jhelum’s water level

The water level of River Jhelum at Mangla Dam was recorded as 1206.95 feet, 156.95 feet above its dead level of 1,050 feet. The rates of water flow were 52,900 cusecs for the inflow and 10,000 cusecs for the outflow, respectively.

The release of water at Taunsa, Kalabagh, Sukkur, and Guddu was 172,200, 218,100, 74,000, and 143,800 cusecs, respectively.

Similarly, 66,000 cusecs were released from River Chenab at Marala, and from River Kabul, 49,000 cusecs of water were released at Nowshera.
