Largest Cruise Ship Readying for Maiden Voyage in January

TURKU (Finland): The world’s largest cruise ship is getting prepared in Finland with the maiden voyage planned in January next year.

The luxury liner goes by the name of ‘Icon In The Seas’ and is currently based at Turku getting final touches here and there.

Tim Meyer Chief Executive Officer Meyer Turku is a overlooking the operation on ‘Icon of the Seas’ and is of the belief that the vessel is the largest cruise ship in the world. The construction of the ship started in 2021 and the sensation is near completion in two-year time.

The vessel can host approximately 10,000 people and has 20 decks and has a world within. The floating destination offers adventure in itself and people are queuing for the tickets.

The CEO of Royal Caribbean Meyer’s believes the cruise business will take a boost as restrictions have been removed and people are now exploring.

Giving a brief comparison, Meyer stated the ‘Icon of the Seas’ is five times the size of Titanic and once it set sail, it will surpass the Royal Caribbean current flagship ‘Wonder of the Seas’ largest cruise ship currently.
