DOHA: Qatar’s Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, on Sunday urged the international community to take a firm stand against Israel’s violations of international laws during ongoing air strikes and ground operations in Gaza.
Speaking at a joint press conference with EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell in Doha, Sheikh Mohammed has expressed his confidence in the progress toward a hostage deal between Israel and Hamas, stating that the remaining challenges were “very minor” and primarily logistical in nature.
“The challenges facing the agreement are just practical and logistical,” Sheikh Mohammed stated. “The sticking points are more practical and logistical. There has been good progress in the past few days.”
Meanwhile, the Israeli military has issued evacuation notices to residents in Gaza’s Jabalia, Al-Daraj Al-Tuffah, and Al-Shuja’iya neighborhoods. Israeli military directed the residents to move towards the southern areas of the Gaza Strip.
Israel Accused of Hindering Fuel Supplies to Gaza
Israeli army’s spokesperson Avichay Adraee conveyed a message to Gaza residents, asserting that Hamas had lost control over the northern Gaza Strip area and was attempting to hinder the movement of people southward for their protection.
Meanwhile, UN agencies reported severe restrictions on fuel deliveries for aid operations in Gaza by Israeli authorities. This has significantly impeded efforts to provide essential services such as water and electricity, with repercussions on medical services.

The World Health Organization (WHO) highlighted the critical situation at Al-Shifa, where 25 health workers and 291 patients, including 32 babies in extremely critical condition, remain. The shutdown of medical services has led to patient deaths over the previous two to three days.
In response to the deteriorating conditions, WHO announced plans for additional missions to urgently transport patients to hospitals in southern Gaza within the next 24 to 72 hours.
