Gaza: Climate Activist Greta Thunberg Expresses Solidarity with Palestinians

LONDON: Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg has expressed her support for the people of Palestine as the latest war in Gaza continues for two weeks, local media reported on Friday.Gaza

In a statement via social media, she said that today they expressed solidarity with people of Palestine and Gaza. He asked the world to speak up over the matter of Gaza. The climate activist called for an immediate ceasefire, justice and freedom for people of Palestinians.

The war in Gaza began when Hamas started Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, a multi-pronged surprise assault against Israel. Hamas stated the action was in retaliation for the attacking of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and increasing violence by Israeli settlers.

4,137 Palestinians Martyed

The war in Palestine’s Gaza, which is under Israeli bombing and blockade since October 7, started when Hamas started Operation Al Aqsa Flood, a multi-pronged surprise attack in Israel. Hamas said that the attack was in retaliation for the raiding of the Al Aqsa Mosque and rising violence by Israeli settlers.

The Israeli blockade has left more than 2.3 million people of Gaza with no food, fuel, water, and medicine.

Earlier, the health ministry in the Gaza Strip confirmed that over 500 innocent Palestinian civilians, including women and children, were martyred in a brutal Israeli airstrike on al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City.

The hospital, a place of refuge for thousands seeking medical treatment and shelter amidst relentless Israeli bombardment, targeting commercial buildings, schools, homes and civilian residences, was hit in what Gaza’s Hamas government described as a “war crime.”

More than 4,137 Palestinians have been martyred in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, while more than 1,400 people have been killed in Israel.
